Just a word of caution...you sound like a very caring mother...but, more important than the homework, the warm fuzzies, the backyard and all that is the example you set for these precious children. Your heart is filled with cynicism and hatred for this president. You are not giving him a chance. I repeat, do you want YOUR children to come home someday and say, "That ridiculous boss of mine doesn't "function at a reasonable level of literacy", mom......Remember, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You are setting a narrow-minded, cynical example for your children...they will repeat what they see. I am obviously older than you. Many of my daughter's friends are now adults....I can see first-hand how well children imitate their parents. Word to the wise....learn to accept these next 4 years. You will get another chance to have a president more to your liking. Dignity involves compromise.

I'll be brief....I care for my elderly mom in my home, and she's napping, so, I can just say this. I don't feel that Obama is perfect. No one is. I just think it is mean-spirited and frankly bully tactics to call him down for everything he does after just 95 days in office. Can't you withhold judgement for a little while longer? Do you want your kids looking over your shoulder as you criticize him after so little time in office? Do you want them to grow up making snap judgements as you are doing? If you don't understand what I am saying, then I'm sorry I ever contacted you. Please take the high-road on your judgement of our young, new president. There will be another day soon when your Republican choice is back in office. I will certainly withhold judgement on her, I promise you. Sincerely, Karin
